Meat alternative meets Middle-Eastern in this delicious vegan burger. Jackfruit’s ability to mimic pulled pork has to be tried to be believed. Pair it with a sweet and spicy BBQ blend and a zingy Mayonnaise, made with Hellmann's Vegan Mayonnaise, for a brand new crowd pleaser.

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Mayo:

    • Add the Hellmann's Vegan Mayonnaise into your blender.
    • Add the vegan yoghurt, fresh garlic, and the lemon juice & zest.
    • Blend together until smooth.
    • Season to taste.  
  2. The Burger:

    • Sauté onions and garlic in a pan. Add jackfruit then the Knorr Professional Hickory BBQ Sauce. Season with spices. Bring to a boil then simmer until the sauce is absorbed.
    • Once fully softened, shred the jackfruit with two forks to pull them apart.
    • Slice the buns and brush with oil. Toast on the grill.
    • Assemble the burgers, starting with a generous spread of shawarma mayo then top with the pulled jackfruit.
    • Add the rest of the ingredients.
